December is a unique time of year in the Mississippi River bottoms. Hunters are privileged to have the option of pursuing either whitetails in the rut or waterfowl as they continue their migration south. Big Bucks On The Move

In much of the South East, Whitetail hunters long for the month of December like hunters in the Midwest long for November. Cottonmouth is no exception. It's a magical time of year. This past week we saw signs of the rut on the edge of busting loose, and finished it off by killing two awesome bucks, including the infamous "son of Rocker".
